Christie Strengthens UK Sales Force

Digital display and projection company Christie has announced the strengthening of its UK sales team in order to consolidate the rapid development in its five core market sectors.

Key to the new initiative is the introduction of a UK Channel Sales Manager, focused on supporting sales growth for Christie and Christie Partners offering systems from Christie’s Business Products Portfolio.

Joe Graziano joins the company having previously worked for a Southern-based solution provider for four years and is now directly responsible for all UK Channel Sales activities in the Installation market. Most recently, he managed sales in the UK for a leading CRM software developer.

Graziano is joined by Darren Banks — another highly-experienced addition to the team, who has spent eight-and-a-half years in the AV industry with a number of leading projection and display companies. Banks takes on the role of Business Development Manager, but will also have responsibility for developing sales in the North of England and Scotland, across all five key markets.

“The challenge will be to promote the Christie brand and raise the activity levels in the marketplace,” says Joe Graziano. “Thanks to our resellers we are enjoying good brand recognition, and as long as our channel partners continue to take us forward as market leaders, we will back them all the way.”

Adding further weight to the team is the appointment of Pam MacDonald as UK Customer Service Co-ordinator. Pam steps up to the new role having been with Christie for many years.

The changes have necessitated a reshuffling of roles for Christie’s existing sales force, based at Christie’s EMEA headquarters in Wokingham, Berks. Gavin Chatfield becomes Business Development Manager for Rental and Event Staging, as well as Virtual Reality and Simulation, while David Griffiths takes on a similar role in the Control Room sector. Richard Nye will continue to be responsible for the Cinema market. Together they support Joe and Darren with more than eighty years combined experience of Christie’s AV business and the larger AV Industry.

Said Dale Miller, vice-president, Christie EMEA: “This investment in our UK sales team is designed to take us nearer to our goal. It will create greater regional focus and ultimately provide our partners more direct access to Christie.”
