A New Range of Portable Public Address Solutions for Emergency Applications
RW Salt, one of the UK’s largest and most established distributors of commercial, professional and secure audio equipment, has announced the immediate availability of the Anchor range of portable public address systems for emergency response applications. Exclusive to RW Salt, they provide an effective solution to help calm and control crowds both indoors and outdoors and will play an important role in saving lives in the event of an emergency.
The Anchor range of portable audio solutions comprises three models, MiniVox, MegaVox and Beacon, which represent the latest generation of portable public address systems and provide significant benefits over traditional megaphones and loudhailers. They are easier to use for untrained personnel and, with extended frequency ranges of up to 60 Hz – 15 kHz, deliver a more human tone to the voice making announcements easier to understand over a wider area. Rechargeable batteries can be used throughout the range giving an operational life of up to 35 hours on a single charge ensuring that they are always ready in the event of an emergency. In addition, at up to 126 db, they are more than three times louder than traditional megaphones.
The Anchor range will form an essential part of standard emergency response kits and has been designed to meet specific requirements of current nationwide disaster response campaigns. These include Project ARGUS, a National Counter Terrorism Security Office initiative that is exploring ways to prevent, handle and recover from a terrorist attack. Programmes such as this are highlighting the importance of being prepared and having the necessary plans in place to help safeguard staff, customers and company assets.
