ETC Eos Wins PLASA Award for Innovation

ETC has scored a hat trick, with their Eos lighting control console winning a 2007 PLASA Award for Innovation. This is the third such honour that the Eos has won, following product of the year awards at LDI at the end of 2006 and Showtech 2007 in June.

As ever, interest in the lighting control desk has been huge, with staff working non stop through the four days of the PLASA show demonstrating the Eos and other ETC products, including the SmartFade ML and Congo consoles, and the ever-popular Source Four luminaire line.

ETC's CEO Fred Foster says: "It is truly gratifying to receive this PLASA award, as well as the other recognitions that the Eos system has received. And it particularly validates the creative efforts of the Eos development team, lead by Dennis Varian, Anne Valentino and Dan Duffy."

ETC's most advanced lighting control system, Eos was designed to handle the most complex, multimedia-filled lighting rigs and is already being specified for theatres, performing arts centres, TV production and comparable sites. The Eos is now in use by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for its world tour, with lighting director Al Crawford

delighted with the desk's performance.

Eos combines innovative features and functionality in a powerful system fully networked for ETCNet2 and the new Net3 protocol (powered by the new ESTA ACN standard). Eos is also unique in offering features tailored to the needs of each member of the lighting design and production team. The system is available in two models, Eos 8K (which supports 8,000 outputs) and Eos 4K (4,000), with powerful accessories to further enhance and streamline production work.
