Filmgear Distributors Going for Gold

IBC 2007 saw not only a successful show for Filmgear but also its distributors. The first annual wards ceremony held at IBC saw new and established distributors winning.

Eclalux of France won Fastest Growing Distributor for 2006/2007 and Benoit Israel was on hand to receive his golden award from Nick Shapley, managing director of Filmgear Europe. Benoit Israel said: “For us to represent Filmgear in France is a huge but important step and to be presented with this fantastic award is truly an honour.”

Runner up was the new and up and coming sales and marketing company from Romania, SC Videolink. Andreas Hoehn was delighted to have won an award in his first year of representing Filmgear. I can’t believe I have won an award – I am delighted and even more determined to win gold next year,” he commented.

Established Portuguese specialists in sales, marketing and installation for film and TV studios, Etchine, won the Top Distributor Aaward for 2006/2007. Paolo Francisco received his award and vowed to win again next year. Runner up in this category was the Spanish corporation, Grau Luminotecnia, S.A.

Nick Shapley stated: “This is the first year of our awards and we were delighted to be able to present them to our deserving winners. Each and every one of our distributors has worked incredibly hard over the last year to introduce and establish the name of Filmgear in their territory.” He continued: “For a small but growing company we have achieved a massive impact on the lighting industry in a relatively short period of time, and we can thank our distributors for helping us achieve this.”
