Cogent is a totally new LED screen range exclusively from Lightfactor, currently consisting of six LED Screens, four for external use and two for internal – all of varying pitches. There is also a range of LED strips of varying pitches and sizes, link LED, MR16 fixtures, other down-lighters plus a range of universal LED drivers to suit all types of LED product.

Lightfactor is now distributing French manufacturer’s SFAT range of modular effects generators – all of which fit on to the same power bases. Available heads include Snow, Foam, Jet Foam, Confetti, Flame, Airtube (inflatable) and Mist.

SGM’s new Synthesis 700 Wash moving light will feature prominently on the Lightfactor stand. It completes the Synthesis series and is ideal for producing uniform lighting coverage. The 700W lightsource is comparable to a 1200 Watt source. The unit can be fitted with two types of lamp offering colour temperatures of either 7200°K or 5600°K.

The cutting edge CMY colour mixing system and linear CTO filter enable absolutely any shade of colour to be obtained. An additional 4-slot plus white colour wheel makes it possible to generate all the deepest colours. Other features include adjustable (6° to 40°) zoom, automatic hot re-strike, beam shaper and iris diaphragm, very precise linear dimming, automatic electronic pan/tilt unlocking and silent running. The Synthesis 700 Spot will also be there plus SGM’s popular Giotto 400 range.

SGM’s range of Studio control desks will include their latest Studio 24 Scan Control, a reliable user-friendly lighting console able to control 24 or 48 channels of dimmable fixtures, and 12 'intelligent' units using up to 36 DMX channels each. The console offers Manual Presets - two rows of 24 faders, which can be used as two 24-channel presets or a single 48-channel preset; registers (one row of 12 faders which control the memory registers); chase control (for the programming and controlling of chases); DMX unit controls (for controlling moving head units, scanners, colour-changers, dimmers, and any other equipment using DMX 512 protocol). Studio 24 Scan Control is a versatile lighting control console, ideal for a vast range of applications: from concerts to theatres, clubs to television studios, from small to large show events.

SGM’s LED Line fixtures will also make their presence felt. The new PALCO 5 has all the aesthetic, mechanical and application features of its popular Palco 3, with the added advantage of offering twice the luminous power. Palco 5 is fitted with a new model of the very powerful K2 LED, offering amazing output with low energy consumption. It uses a total of 12 x K2 4.5W blue LEDs, 24 x K2 4.5W green LEDs and 13 Luxeon 4.5W red LEDs complete with internal wireless DMX receiver.

The New Genio Static is based on the popular Genio Mobile, and is a fully IP rated static unit. Along with these will be the perennially popular Palco 3 , Ribalta, Genio Mobile and Palco Mobile.

SGM’s Xline features the newly designed Idea Spot and Wash 250 and 575 moving heads, plus the Idea Scanner 250 featuring an MSD 250 lamp, a rotating gobo wheel, a static gobo wheel, colour wheel and remote focus. The new Idea Wash 575 is a compact 575 CYM wash unit designed for bathing large areas in CYM colour, complete with a remote zoom and Fresnel lens. Also on the stand is the Idea Spot 150, a compact mono-arm moving head fixture designed for high performance and good quality/price ratio.

Lightfactor is the UK distributor for Italian manufacturer LDR, the manufacturers of specialist luminaires for the entertainment and architectural industries. LDR has developed a comprehensive range of theatrical and architectural display luminaires using the latest optical design techniques. Based in northern Italy, LDR has its own design and assembly facility to ensure consistent quality and availability.

Its large range of products includes a choice of followspots with discharge and tungsten halogen sources, condenser-optic profiles and a complete range of Fresnels and PCs for both theatrical and architectural applications. LDR is committed to providing high quality products and offering a fast, friendly service.

From LDR, Lightfactor will be showing the Xpress range of scrollers, available in three different sizes to fit various ranges of lanterns. The new Xpress power distribution is compact and lightweight, specially designed to feed a single Xpress colour scroller. Also highlighted is the all new Canto 1200 follow spot plus a selection of other LDR theatrical fixtures.

LightProcessor manufactures an extensive range of fully-featured lighting control products, including the ever popular QCommander and QCommander II moving light consoles, LightProcessor Zip desks and the hugely successful Paradim and Dimension dimming ranges.

PLASA 07 sees the completion of LightProcessor’s new Location portable dimmer range, specifically designed for film and video shoots and all types of special events where ‘luggable’ dimming is essential. These offer a local and a non-local control options and are available in 1 x 63A, 1x 80A, 3 x 25A, 6 x 16A and 6 x 10A versions. They come with integral mains lead, local control plus DMX and analogue inputs, plus multifunction back lit LCD display. The Location dimmer is a complete ‘ready-to-go’, out of the box, plug-in-and-play dimming system. Also featured will be the latest models in the LightProcessor Dimension range of installation dimmers.

Dimension 1210 and 1810 wall mounted dimmers are the latest addition to the Light Processor installation dimmers. Available as single or three phase, with MCB breakers on each circuit, user-replaceable triacs plus many other features. Keenly priced, it’s available as DMX or DMX with onboard scene memory.

The Paradim digital dimmer range is now available with 125 A Cee Form or PowerLock in/out. The 72-way version offers 24 dimmer channels and 12 hard powered channels, and the 96-way offers 36 dimmer channels and 12 hard power channels. Paradim installation dimmers feature a low-cost, 6-scene, 6 channel dimmer, available in 6 x 10A, 6 x 16A or 6 x 20A formats. It can be hard wired or rack mounted, single or three phase and encompasses fire alarm settings, onboard scene memory. Scenes stored in the dimmer can be recalled by any of the LightProcessor series of Scene Recall Button Stations, either with LED indicators, faders or simple buttons.

The Dimension Memory dimming range consists of 12 or 18 channel units of 10 Amps-per-channel, which can be wired as 3 phase or single. The 1210 and 1810 units can be split between different zones - one zone of 18 scenes, two of 12 and six or three of 6. Channels are allocated to zones via central programming from any DMX desk, and don’t have to be divided in a pre-determined way.

LightProcessor is launching its first wireless product using the Wireless Solutions DMX card. This product enables signals to be received either wirelessly or via cable. Additionally the LP Wireless DMX Buffer offers a means of Y-splitting a DMX signal and boosting DMX signals in very long cable runs. Incoming DMX signals are split, buffered, isolated and boosted to four 1kV opto-isolated output channels. (some competing products are equipped with only one opto-isolator, so that if the Buffer is called upon to operate, all downstream products will lose data).

As the LightProcessor Buffers have four separate, opto-isolated output channels, only products attached to the affected channel will lose data – which is a major benefit! Each output channel comprises one 5-pin XLR output and one 3-pin XLR connector (products with eight 5-pin XLRs or eight 3-pin XLRs are available to order). As each of the output connectors is independently driven, all eight outputs can be used simultaneously.

Lightfactor is the UK distributor for Novalight and has enjoyed great success with its high powered High-Ground range of moving lights which will feature on the stand. The DMX-controlled Novalight High-Ground uses a 2,000W MSR light source and outputs 174,000 lumens. The moving yoke version pans 540° in 3.2 seconds and tilts 262° in 2.9 seconds, making it a very agile fixture. The unit offers five dichroic colours and white, plus shutter and strobe effects; another advantage is that there's no central black hole when the beam is opened to maximum.

The New unique Nova-Flower is the first full programmable ‘flower effect’ with full DMX controllable pan, tilt, colour shutter plus other standard features. Using a 1200W light source, this moving yoke fixture is an ideal companion to the Novalight High-Ground, with CMY mixing, rotating reflector (in both directions), pan/tilt, remote lamp re-strike. Nova-Flower is trolley mounted for rapid rigging onto a truss, and can also be used in stand alone mode programmed via the display buttons on its base. It has a weather-resistant IP 43 rating.

From Swiss-based VXCO, Lightfactor will highlight their new PC-DMX lighting controller, the DMXCreator 1024 +, along with their other interfaces. DMXCreator 1024 is the first USB-DMX512 interface that provides 1024 output channels and 512 input channels! The 1024 output channels are on two universes and the 512 input channels on two 5-pin Neutrik XLR outputs and one 5-pin Neutrik XLR input. The DMX interface connects to the USB 1.0 or 2.0 plug-and-play port of a computer and needs no external power supply unless using stand-alone. The product is housed in a rugged industrial-style metal housing with anodized laser printed surface. The DMXCreator1024 set includes a DMX512-Interface box, USB cable and DMXCreator software/panels on CD.

Launched at PLASA is the new DMXCreator1024+. Additional features include a USB 2.0 interface, two DMX universes out (1024 channels) and one DMX universe in (512 channels); integrated audio circuit for beat detection; DMX record function and USB bus powered or external power supply. In Stand Alone mode, it can store unlimited cues and different chases (over 1,000,000 scenes!) into the interface box. It has an SD card memory slot (taking up to 2Gb cards), a 9 pin DSUB for external playback of up to 8 different cues, scenes or chases plus MIDI and PS-2 Keyboard connector for outputting the chases and sequences in stand-alone mode.
