Sound Network Scoops DPA Microphones’ Distributor of the Year Award

DPA Microphones has announced that it has awarded London-based Sound Network with its 2007 Distributor of the Year award, recognising the huge contribution to sales and service that the company has provided over the past 12 months.
Sound Network director Ralph Dunlop attributes the company’s success to its continued belief in providing the best advice and service to the professional sound industry, together with continued support from a loyal group of clients who recommend Sound Network to a growing number of new customers. “After being involved personally with B&K and then DPA for over 20 years, it is a real honour to be awarded Distributor of the Year,” says Dunlop. “In the last two years we have made concerted efforts to introduce DPA Microphones into a variety of new market areas, and due to the products’ enviable build quality and versatility we have been very successful. The DPA name is synonymous with the very best quality, professional sound, and is now accessible to all those people on a budget who care about sonic purity. DPA Microphones has quickly become one of the leading microphone manufactures worldwide; its philosophy of sonic perfection together with the imagination of a young, flexible and ambitious group of talented individuals is going to be hard to stop.”
Sound Network has been a key member of DPA’s distributor network since the manufacturer’s inception in 1992. Located in the heart of London’s West End, the company is well placed to service the theatre market as well as the post production community in Soho, and continues to expand its client base as the DPA product range grows.
“I’m really happy that Sound Network got this year’s award,” says DPA Microphones co-founder Morten Stove. “These guys have done a great job for years, but they have achieved particularly great results over the past 12 months. DPA is is a rapidly growing company and Sound Network has always been a big part of that.”
