Pandoras Box a Winner
Pandoras Box Version 3.5 from Coolux, which won the LDI Best Projection Product of the Year Award in November, has been running smoothly on shows since June 2006. Basic new features added since then are an XML-based type library for DMX and serial and IP output devices as well as offline preview for remote clients in the MediaManager. In addition, multi-selection of devices and layers has been made possible and groups are based on selection.
A live text resource is included in the project and an external remote RS 232/422 or IP sequence control is possible. Clips can be set to lock to timeline and in addition, all Pandoras Box Playback products own additional layers. The MediaPlayer now has 6/9/12 layers and the MediaServer 12/18/30/48 layers. The MediaMatrix includes now a new visual patcher that makes patching of DMX channels easy.
