Three Frog 2’s Wiener Event Technik GmbH

Wiener Event Technik, one of Austria’s leading rental companies, has expanded their rental stock with the addition of Frog 2 consoles from Zero 88. Wiener Events have added three Frog 2 lighting consoles their inventory, and each complete with two 3M touch screens to maximise their usability on the fly.
The Frog 2 made its Austrian debut with the Vienna State Opera Ballet on their production of ‘Walzerreigen’ in August. The performance was staged at the Kaiserzelt on Lake Altaussee with lighting design by Rudolf Fischer. The Frog 2 controlled the comprehensive lighting rig, which included 18 Martin MAC 600s, 18 Martin MAC 2000s, 16 6-bar PAR 64 1kWs, 12 Arri 2kW Fresnels, 12 Floodlight 1kWs, 12 UV tube 36Ws and two UV 400W floods.
Managing director of Wiener Event Technik, Erich Kulicska was first introduced to the consoles in September when he attended a Frog 2 workshop hosted by Franck Tiesing of Zero 88 and Sven Paulsen of RTC Fürstler Sound and Light KEG, Austria.
Erich was looking to increase his console inventory and was amazed at the Frog 2’s impressive feature set. “The Frog 2 fits all the criteria for our rental consoles including individual timing of channels and quick access to all desk data. In addition, both Zero 88 and RTC have been incredibly supportive in terms of initial demonstrations, training and general after sales support. It is reassuring to know that the consoles not only work under pressure but are also backed by such outstanding service,” he explained.
