Trantec Gets Fit with New Wireless Aerobic System
Specifically designed for aerobics instructors, the new S5 system combines Trantec’s renowned wireless expertise with a sweat resistant microphone that provides top quality sound for today’s fitness trainer.
There are two formats available, and each benefits from high quality, true-diversity operation utilising credit card size beltpacks, frequency autoscan, in-built Infra-red data link, single AA battery life of over 10 hours, intuitive LCD displays, and professional metal enclosures for both transmitter and receiver.
Based on Trantec’s award winning S6000 series widely used throughout theatre and broadcast, the S5 systems are built to withstand the most vigorous workouts. The comfortable headworn SJ66 is a sweatproof microphone with an excellent sound quality and voice projection that means no more shouting for the trainer. Its flexible gooseneck creates a secure and comfortable fit, and is available in a choice of three colours: black, blue and yellow. There is also an option of the super-lightweight TS22 headmic which is an unobtrusive low profile version with miniature capsule.
The S5.3LH operates up to 12 simultaneous channels and is already being recognised as a popular choice for health club applications. The S5.5LH system caters for larger projects and can simultaneously operate up to 24 channels offering a wider choice of frequencies with fully interactive PC monitoring.
Trantec’s sales executive Mark Parkhouse says: “Improper headmics can cause discomfort and irritation and will detract from the quality of the class performance. It is most important that trainers are virtually unaware that they are wearing a mic at all. Our aim is to provide a system that engenders comfort, quality, and a long trouble-free working life over many years. Another important feature is that the systems will operate for up to 10 hours on a single AA battery – making the running costs of the S5 one of the cheapest on the market.”
