Major Multi-Media Spectaculars from LOBO

Gazprom, the mighty Russian gas company, with a huge market value and the largest European enterprise, celebrated its 60th anniversary in St. Petersburg in September. On the occasion, more than 1,200 VIP guests from the world of politics and economics entered a temporary four-storey high theatre, specially built just for the event, where the central stage had laser and multimedia technology from LOBO playing the leading part - the whole concept having been built around a multimedia ‘experience' from LOBO.
Using multiple high-performance laser systems, a 30-metre panoramic video projection in the background featured soft-edge blending, as well as hologram-style projections by laser and video on a 150 square metre water screen in the foreground, LOBO created a total of five show scenes across the evening. These scenes were enriched by dancers, artists and programmable fragrance machines as well as coloured flame effects.
Everything, including the specially composed music, the Hollywood-standard computer animations, sophisticated blue screen recordings with actors, video composition as well as the whole programming of laser and multimedia effects, had been produced in the LOBO studios with over 50 people involved in the show production. As usual for LOBO, the show had been pre-built in the LOBO studios in advance, allowing the designers and client to bring the show to perfection in fine detail.
A few weeks before in the Imperial Palace in Vienna, the recently-established Belarus Potash Company, a subsidiary of Uralkali, which has grown within a few years to become a leading supplier in the fertilizing industry, and owns 31% of the world's potash reserves, celebrated a glamorous gala night in the historic heart of Vienna. It was a get-together of the whole industry and included many celebrities including the ‘Vogue' and Joe Cocker. Here, LOBO was charged to underline the international status of this rapidly expanding enterprise with a rather abstract and symbolic multimedia show. The innovative agency olto Mosso regularly relies on LOBO as an internationally experienced partner for the implementation of such spectacular show concepts. Six laser projection heads, four video projectors and water screens were the key ingredients of the multimedia spectacular from the German light wizards.
Meanwhile, in Malta, the Dubai-based Tecom Investments group launched a whole series of giant real-estate projects, named SmartCity. These developments throughout the world are a form of subsidiary of the Dubai Internet City and the Dubai Media City. Amounting to a total surface of 360,000 square metres, Smart City Malta is the largest private investment ever on Malta. Here, LOBO created an individually produced multimedia spectacular, showing government representatives and investors the basic principles and the impressive size of the project, with a vivid interplay of video, lasers and water.
LOBO president Lothar Bopp said: "It took many years of hard work to reach the top of our industry and to establish the trademark LOBO as a synonym for outstanding show productions implemented on a high level of technical perfection throughout the whole world. We are proud to see that today LOBO is firmly established among agencies and the marketing departments of international companies as a multimedia solution provider known to handle even the most demanding challenges."
