Paul de Ville Joins Rosco Team

Rosco has announced that Paul de Ville is joining the company as senior sales manager UK. The appointment is part of the company's plan to expand the resources needed to support the established high quality product range and new business opportunities.
After the DHA acquisition in 2005 the time has come to further develop the UK sales team and support both the product range and the customers that distribute and use the full range of Rosco products. Paul will work with the sales and customer service departments to provide for these needs.
"Despite the weakening economy, Rosco's British business remains ambitious. We continue to see increased opportunities to enter new markets and expand our existing market share. Business growth continues to be one of our main objectives. The timing for Paul de Ville joining Rosco couldn't be better. His expertise and capabilities are a perfect match for Rosco's ambitions. I'm delighted to have him with us and look forward to very exiting times ahead," says Kees Frijters, Rosco vice-president European operations.
Paul brings more than 25 year's experience in the industry. He trained as a stage manager and lighting designer before working for Theatre Projects London. From there he spent 16 years with Action Lighting and the Lighting Technology Group responsible for business development. On leaving he took up the role of managing director of Lightfactor and after five years, in 2005 he took a sabbatical away from the entertainment industry to study and help set up the sales and marketing departments of a project and programme management training company Maven Training based in central London.
Paul said: "At the beginning of 2008 I had reached the stage of my time at Maven Training where most of the objectives I had set, both personal and for the company had been reached and I was at a decision point of having to commit long term and turn my back on the entertainment technology industry. Uultimately this was something I felt I did not want to do and started to look at my options.
I have had a long relationship with Rosco since my time with Theatre Projects in the early 80s and have always been impressed by the professional way they have operated. Kees outlined the vision that Rosco have for the future. This, coupled with the commitment to quality in products and service that has been the cornerstone of the way Rosco have approached the business, made me feel that it was too good an opportunity to pass up. I am excited to be part of the Rosco team."
