Void's Air Motion for Prestigious 4rest Entertainment Centre in Russia
Void Acoustics, designer and manufacturer of advanced professional audio systems for the installed and live sound markets, reports that its radical Air Motion triple-horn loudspeakers and Paraflex low-frequency enclosures have been installed in the 4rest club and entertainment centre, in Pereslavl Zalessky, Russia. Specified and installed by IBERI, Void's Moscow-based distributor for the region, the venue's dance-floor system comprises 4 x Air Motion loudspeakers, complemented by 4 x Paraflex 360 sub-bass and 2 x Paraflex 640 upper-bass units.
Owned by an entrepreneur, and located in the heart of Russia's Golden Ring, the new venue opened in August 2008 and has been conceived as the best entertainment centre in Pereslavl, with its clientele focused on the region's young and successful residents, as well as corporate events. 4rest's sound system was designed as its major attribute, to attract the highest level of clients with a clear, high-quality performance. The venue's owner originally heard Void's loudspeaker systems at the Music Moscow trade show, where IBERI exhibits annually, and decided that Void's combination of audio quality and innovate, stylish aesthetics would be a perfect match for the 4rest's requirements, resulting in the club's design concept being based around Void's systems. 4rest's fashionable interior has been designed with multiple zones, including VIP tables, a banqueting room and restaurant in addition to the dance floor.
IBERI became involved in the 4rest project during its construction stage, addressing all aspects of the dance floor area, including the loudspeaker systems and amplifiers, as well as the lighting effects and lighting control facilities. The company won the contract to supply and install the audio and lighting systems with the combination of Void Acoustic loudspeakers and Genius Professional Lighting moving heads and scanners.
Alex Skan, director of Void Acoustics Ltd, commented: "IBERI's prestigious installation at 4rest is one of the first in Russia to feature our loudspeakers. This combination of our Air Motion triple-horn loudspeakers and Paraflex bass enclosures is rapidly gaining ground as the definitive specification for high-end international venues, with this announcement closely following that of Matter, the new London club at the O2, which uses the same systems."
Void's Air Series loudspeakers comprise the company's signature, triple-horn Air Motion system with 12", 8" and 1.5" transducers, each loaded by a separate isometric conical horn, complemented by the Paraflex low-frequency systems. Designed to work in pairs, for large-system coverage of the entire low-frequency spectrum, the Paraflex 640 covers the upper-bass region, with a 44cm piston, while the Paraflex 360 uses a single 18" driver to deliver a powerful LF performance down to 30Hz.
