108" LCD Creates Stage Set for Stuff Live

Organisers of Stuff Live 2008 created a stage set using the 108" Sharp LCD as a stunning, video backdrop.

The Stuff stage, which showcased a variety of technologies throughout the weekend,  was a central point for Stuff magazine's show presence. A highlight of the onstage programming was Aaron A Grimes from rock band Marner Brown demonstrating the new Gibson Robot Guitar which allows players to change tunings in seconds - all at the touch of a button. Stuff filmed the action and relayed it to the screen behind to create a background for the live interview.

The stage drew a crowd of technology fans throughout the weekend, watching the action on the 108", which is the world's largest LCD.

"Nothing else at the show made people's eyes pop out like the huge Sharp screen. They couldn't wait to play MotorStorm Pacific Rift on the world's largest LCD, and many even got their photo taken next to it," said Stuff's publisher, Simon Osborne-Walker.

The screen weighs in at 195kg and was installed and raised into position at the touch of a button on PSCo's custom made screenlifter.
