EML of Belgium adds G-LEC Phantom30 System to Stock

EML Productions, one of Europe's leading lighting, sound and video hire and production companies, is adding G-LEC's Phantom30 LED video display system to its inventory, with the acquisition of 150 frames.

Based in Belgium, with offices in the Netherlands and Spain, EML is a leading supplier for the biggest festivals and concerts in Europe, so quality and performance were paramount in the decision making process. Also important, however, was the international structure of G‑LEC partners, as Dirk Bosloirs, operations director for EML, explains: "We know from other people that becoming a G‑LEC partner is like joining a family, where everyone supports each other. It is more than just products, it is about 100% back-up and support."

And it was through the "family" connection of Supporting Role in Austria, which is a partner to both EML and G-LEC, that introductions were made. Dirk continues: "We have worked with Supporting Role for many years and when we were looking for an LED frame system, they gave us good reports of G-LEC. We investigated further, saw the system in action at Hockenheim in July, and then met up again at PLASA in September. The beauty of the system is its flexibility - you can configure it to any kind of production type, from very small to extremely large."

As a production company, EML provides its services to a broad range of markets, including television, corporate event, theatre and concerts, and has several projects in the pipeline where they expect the Phantom30 to work well. "Our clients will really appreciate the quality and flexibility of the G-LEC system," says Dirk, "and our crew members like the quick and easy way the system is rigged."

Lars Wolf, managing director of G‑LEC, is delighted with the deal, because it also introduces the Phantom system to more European countries: "Although the stock will be held in Belgium, I know the system will be shared with the EML companies in the Netherlands and Spain, bringing G‑LEC technology to a much bigger audience."
