Get Educated with Crestron at evenTech Ireland 2008

Crestron will be displaying its new range of technology solutions for the commercial integration market at evenTech Ireland in Dublin (18-19 November). The event will feature the first showing in Europe of the new MPC (Media Presentation Controller) - an all-in-one classroom control which has already created considerable interest amongst European integrators working in the education sector. Crestron will also be showcasing integrated products and solutions that control and schedule virtually every sub-system and device (including lighting, HVAC, AV, and PC) and intelligently improve energy efficiency in commercial, corporate and education environments.
The new products on show at EvenTech Ireland 2008 will include the MPC range which is designed to connect, control and route AV presentation equipment in small, one-projector applications, typical of classrooms. All models are easy-to-install, easy-to-use and scalable and can be wall or lectern mounted. The MPC has a simple interface and push-button layout that is easy for lecturers to learn and use, and equally important, can be implemented consistently in every room, lecture hall or auditorium. Infinitely scalable, each MPC features a Cresnet port to add keypads and other Crestron control devices: install the MPC in a lectern at the front of the room and easily add a keypad or APAD LCD room controller on the wall. Alternatively, connect a Crestron iLux via the Cresnet port to add integrated lighting and shade control in any classroom, meeting room or lecture hall.
The range DIN Rail range features 10 new products for lighting applications, each designed to snap onto a standard DIN rail for installation in a wall mount enclosure, equipment rack, or on a flat panel. Crestron is proud to be the first lighting control manufacturer to deliver a 17th Edition compliant lighting control solution for the UK market. In addition to this, the system will also report to a Crestron touch screen the energy consumption (in kilowatt hours) that the lighting system currently using.
Designed for speed, style and extreme versatility, the new TPS-6X from Crestron revolutionises touch-panel design for the 21st Century. High-end aesthetics abound in the sleek, ergonomic design which while docked, is a wired Cresnet or Ethernet connected panel with full-motion video display and when undocked it automatically switches to a wireless RF device with long-range, high-speed two-way RF communication up to 200 feet.
Designed as a complete out-of-the-box AV presentation solution for boardrooms, auditoria and lecture rooms, the MPS is a control system, multimedia matrix switcher, microphone mixer, audio processor, and QuickMedia (QM) distribution centre, all rolled into a single, rackmount-ready package.
The iLux CLS-C6 Integrated Zoned Lighting System can control six lighting zones and 6 groups of blinds or curtains. It can be used to replace numerous switches and dimmers on the wall and completely centralises lighting, blind and screen controls so that users no longer need to search for the right switch plate or fumble through trial and error to find the right combination of light settings.
CLX-Series dimmers are rigorously built using oversized heat sinks for ultimate reliability. Split-bobbin transformers and ground-referenced electronics deliver superior performance. Lamp flicker is minimised through Crestron's innovative zero-crossing detection technique backed by proprietary firmware. Low-maintenance convection cooling assures quiet and trouble-free operation.
