Meyer Sound with Procon
The Procon Group is celebrating 20 years of business. Morten Carlsson, the current CEO of Procon, founded the company ‘Procon Bühnen Produktions GmbH' in Hamburg, Germany in 1988. Since then, the company has been growing from a specialist in lighting technology to a full-service production supplier, providing equipment rentals around the world and offering film and television production services in two commercial sectors-event engineering and film light and camera technology under the name ‘Cinegate'.
Since Rocksound became a part of Procon in 2000, Meyer Sound and Procon have maintained a close working relationship. Procon has supplied Meyer Sound self-powered loudspeakers for worldwide events such as the opening celebration of Europe's largest train station in Berlin and the opening of Munich's Allianz Arena. In 2008, the Bambi Awards, Eurovision Song Contest and several other major events during the Olympics in Beijing were also powered with Meyer Sound systems by Procon.
"I am pleased with the strong partnership between Procon and Meyer Sound," says Sascha Khelifa, managing director of Meyer Sound. "Our products have been used in some of the largest national and international events through Procon, and I am sure both companies will continue to benefit from this rewarding business relationship."
With locations in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Shanghai, Zurich, London, Cape Town and Budapest, Procon has more than 450 employees and holds of one of the largest equipment pools in the market.
