PR Lighting Stars at First Global Gathering in Belarus
The international dance festival, Global Gathering, was held for the first time recently in Belarus, and the event's production company JTI enlisted local support from FE Belimlight, to maintain the brand value of this world phenomenon.
The PR Lighting distributors helped set up the infrastructure at Borovaya Airport, where all construction and even the power supplies had to be rented in, in order to treat a crowd of 15,000 to this unique experience.
Headliner Eric Prydz was supported by a roster of top dance specialists, including Mylo, Tieswartz, Mandy and Tom Novy. Working alongside other local service companies, such as Belmuzprodut, FE Belimlight's LD, Ilya Piatrouski, ensured that the main stage was lit to perfection using PR Lighting fixtures.
He constructed the rig around 16 of PR Lighting's XL Wash 700 and ten XL 700 fixtures, along with 16 x Pilot 575.
"The main idea behind the design was to keep the stage set stage changing throughout the night, incorporating a lot of fancy pictures. LED screens and laser effects."
Ilya continued: "This was the first time Global Gathering had been staged in our country and we were understandably nervous about the outcome - but as soon as we saw the large number of people dancing and screaming, we knew we had produced a dynamic design, with plenty of impact."
He said their work had been highly praised by JTI. "I even received a special thanks from Eric Prydz' concert director!"
