Turbosound Gets Green with Kaizer Chiefs

The beginning of October saw the Tuborg Green Festival held at Košarkaška dvorana Dražena Petrovica in Zagreb, Croatia with acts including Kaiser Chiefs, Edo Maajka, Kiril and Lollobrigida making good use of Croatian rental company Lite Prom's Turbosound loudspeaker system.

The one-day festival was organised by State of Exit - the company behind the Exit Festival - Live Nation and Tuborg. Despite its youth in festival terms - this is only the second event - its organiser's well-known status brought in some big names, including UK indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs.

Lite Prom's Zeljko Radocaj explains how they set up the system. "We used 24 stacks of Aspect in total," he says. "This was augmented with four TSW-218DP and six of Turbosound's new self-powered Flex Array TFA-600HDP, which worked perfectly for this situation. Stage monitoring was from 14 TFM-450 wedges and a TQ-425SP was used for drum fill."

"We've had some great feedback from those involved in the festival," says Turbosound sales manager, Paul McMullan. "This was a good demonstration of Flex Array's versatility and how well it integrates with Turbosound's other product lines. It was also the first major outing for the new TSW-218DP subs - a digitally self-powered double 18" horn-loaded sub-bass cabinet and our most powerful sub to date - and we were very pleased with the results."
