Area Venezia Choose DTS & Zero 88

Area Venezia, the discotheque created by Joe T Vannelli, is one of the most popular names on the European clubbing scene. It was totally restructured in October 2008 by architect Massimo Cadamuro and now features two levels, with one large area and a smaller one. The club is divided into several zones, with a central dance floor surrounded by four elegantly furnished bars (each themed differently) and an art gallery.
Above all however, Area Venezia is a disco created by superstar DJ Joe T Vannelli to dance to the best house music around, featuring as resident DJ's Vannelli himself (last Saturday every month), Gianni Coletti and Fabrizio Gucciardi. Special guests have included Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Boy George, Niki Belucci, Christelle and Ricky Montanari, and live performances by Montefiori Cocktail.
When the venue was restructured, new installations included a sound system by Dynacord Alpha Concept and the lighting by DTS and Zero 88. The new lighting system was installed by FG Lighting, with technical supervision by Dario Juka, to a lighting design project by Michele Sgolacchia of DTS.
DTS and Zero 88 products installed at Area Venezia include: 12 X-SCAN's around the main dancefloor in groups of four; four X-SCAN's installed above the two ground-floor bars; eight Helios full colour LED projectors inset in a semicircle in the false ceiling above the dancefloor; 35 MR16 LED lamps (full colour 9W) all around the club, in both the large and the smaller spaces; 45 MR16 LED lamps (RGB 3W) for internal lighting in three sets of double perforated panels; eight Flash 4000's in a semicircle to the sides of the console, plus three strobe DMX's to light the central dancefloor; 25 Z1 LED controllers (rack-mounted) powering and driving the Helios and MR16 LED's; four XR5 Spot mobile heads in the smaller space; four XM1200 Spot mobile heads installed in the main dancefloor area; a Zero88 Leapfrog 48 console to control the entire club, including light fixtures, bar lighting, etc.; a Zero88 Jester ML24 console to control lighting in the smaller space.
Area Venezia enjoys prestigious official recognition, having being awarded the "Marchio di Venezia", designed by Thibaut Mathieu, with art direction by Philippe Starck. Venice is the first city in Italy to add a special logo to promote commercial and philanthropic marketing to its official coat of arms. The logo represents the image of Venice throughout the world, and is assigned to businesses and other organisations that bring dynamic life and support to this city in a common aim of cultural, social and economic development.
