Lab.gruppen\'s PLM 10000Q Picks up More Industry Awards

2008 has been a year of rich pickings for Swedish professional audio equipment manufacturer, Lab.gruppen following the launch of their revolutionary PLM 10000Q Powered Loudspeaker Management system twelve months ago. Since then, the product has been honoured with three separate technology awards in the US, France and Spain.

The first of those was the WFX New Product Awards, which recognises the newest and most innovative building, management, and technology products, applicable to worship facilities, and launched within the past year. PLM 10000Q emerged as the winner in the Audio Amplification category. At the recent SIEL-SATIS-RADIO show in Paris, PLM 10000Q was named the winner of the "Trophée de l'Iinnovation" in the PA/broadcast category. And, most recently in Spain, the PLM 10000Q was voted Best PA Product by the readers of premier Spanish pro audio title, Producción Audio magazine. PLM was recognised as "the most important/relevant system for its technical contribution and for offering an efficient alternative to any system used until now."

Lab.gruppen head of marketing, Tim Chapman, is pleased to see that PLM has gained so much recognition so quickly. "It proves that we're on the right track both conceptually and in terms of product quality," he observed. "It's never easy breaking the mould, and if you're going to do it, you have to have complete confidence that your product is going to work right out of the box, otherwise the market loses all confidence in you, and you're right back to square one! I'm pleased to say that we pretty much got it right with PLM 10000Q, and it has been recognised by the industry at large with these awards."

"It's particularly gratifying to see that the winner of the Producción Audio award was selected by a public vote," continued Chapman. "While it's always rewarding to obtain recognition from one's industry peers, a vote of confidence from the people that are actually using and working with the product every day is perhaps even more satisfying. It just goes to show there is nothing else currently available on the market that offers the functionality and flexibility of PLM - it is a truly unique and genuinely innovative product."
