TB115S Subwoofer and SMX15 Coaxial Loudspeaker from APG

The TB115S subwoofer from APG is a new generation unit combining high acoustic performances with user-orientated ergonomics design. It is equipped with a convection cooling Neodymium 15" woofer of 1150 W AES and is characterized by its capability of producing high sound pressure level (136 dB SLP peak) with accurate and dynamic sound reproduction. The TB115S subwoofer is designed to offer great musicality in the low frequency bandwidth (45-120 Hz).

The TB115S takes advantage of the exclusive K-HORN load: a 6th order bandpass connected to a truncated horn. This specific load allows at least 4 dB of acoustical gain in comparison to direct radiation or traditional bass reflex systems. The double interactive load offers an excellent control over the diaphragm displacement which increases the mechanical reliability and reduces the harmonic distortion. As a result the sound reproduction outperforms conventional subwoofers featuring direct radiation.

Ergonomics designed with three recessed handles allows all type of handling by only one person. The KR100 option is a set of four rotating casters. The compactness of the TB115S provides suitable solution in fixed installation projects associated to discreetness.

Operation of the TB115S requires the use of an APG dynamic processor from LP Series or Matrix Series. A number of presets for the DMS26 digital processor are also available, for creating array, cardio or sub-arc configurations. The dedicated processors (LP type) integrate new processing and protection parameters, for enhanced overall performance.

The SMX15 is a two-way active coaxial loudspeaker comprising a new generation neodymium 15" cone driver mounted in a ported enclosure. The proprietary technology of forced thermal transfer allows to drastically reducing thermal compression effects, resulting in exceptional SPL capacity of 136 dB. The high frequency section uses a neodymium compression driver offering extremely low distortion. Using coaxial technology, the SMX15 provides a perfectly coherent sound field with a conical opening of 85°.

The unique shape of the enclosure, combined with the unique AST (Aiming Tuning System) offer the speaker to be tilted in five different angles. Light weight at only 29kg, and three integrated grips make it easy to handle and carry. The SMX15 operates in bi-amplification, with a dedicated dedicated digital processor.

The frequency and phase response are perfectly linear, resulting in exceptional feedback reduction.
