Who Pulls Monkey's Tail During Cold Spell?
Like the principal ingredients of a good cake, there's quite a mix going on down in Greenwich. For one brief magical spell during the festive season The Who, Coldplay, and Damon Albarn's Monkey, Journey to the West will simultaneously occupy all three venues at the Millennium site: the O2 Arena, IndigO2, and the Meridian Gardens, the giant tent outside the O2.
Further to this magic will be the mix provided by Daniel Green for Coldplay, Paul Ramsay for The Who and Barry Bartlett for Monkey, who between them have plundered just about every loudspeaker type: line array, point source and monitors from the inventories of festive partners, Entec and Wigwam. What do these three wise men have in common? The people at d&b audiotechnik couldn't possibly say, but wish them all a hearty Christmas run. Oops . . . have we let the monkey out of the bag?
