Altair Intercom Systems Now Available from Stage Electrics

New to the UK market, Altair digital wireless and wired communications systems are now available off the shelf from Stage Electrics, the excusive distributor in the UK. The systems are compatible with Clear-Com, Tecpro, Metro and Stonewood Audio and are ideal for use in both professional and educational venues.
The wired system consists of an EF-200 dual channel master station which can power up to 50 x EM-201 single channel beltpacks and AM-100/2 single muff headsets which are all linked together via standard 3 pin XLR microphone cables. The master station has dual channels A & B which can be linked together and the unit offers call lights, buzzers, remote mic mute and an internal battery which enables emergency communication for a short period during power failure.
Master stations can be daisy chained together to give a four, six or more channel system. They also include configurable presets for mic gain, buzz level, phantom power, program interrupt and relay contacts for multipurpose remote control interface.
Also available is the ES-200 dual channel desk station which incorporates a speaker and gooseneck mic, this station can be free standing or wall mounted, an ideal solution for an intercom system.
The wireless system consists of the WBS-200 base station and up to 4 x WBP–200 battery powered belt packs with WAM-100/2 single muff headsets. The base station is designed to operate in stand-alone or ‘master’ mode, enabling full duplex clear and secure communication. Up to four wireless belt packs and headsets plus a base station headset allow five people simultaneous communication. For large system operation, the unit can be used in ‘slave’ mode by wiring units across the coverage area, so expanding the number of wireless users in a cellular arrangement.
There are a host of neat features on the wireless system including buzzer and vibrate alert, battery status indicator, fast charge mode and a remote mic mute. It also offers encrypted communications, license free frequency operation, each with 10 hours battery life in full duplex and each belt pack has dual internal antennas. The base station can in addition drive up to 20 wired belt packs.
