Ampco Pro Rent the Sound of 2008 InAVation Awards
Heralding the opening of the 2008 ISE Show in Amsterdam, Ampco Pro Rent and sister company Flashlight Rental provided technical production for the 2008 InAVation Awards, staged on January 28 in the Grand Ballroom of the city’s luxurious Hotel Okura.
The awards night, hosted by IML Events and partnered by the region’s leading international and national media resources, recognised the past year’s achievements in audio-visual technologies and projects. With almost 400 seats sold the event has doubled in size since its inaugural year and has become one of ISE’s premiere events.
Ampco Pro Rent supplied a ground-stacked Synco by Martin Audio W8LM line array system with Synco SR5 delay loudspeakers, Renkus-Heinz TRC Series infills and Synco monitoring, controlled from a Yamaha DM2000 digital console with Dolby Lake drive processing and Shure and Neumann microphones.
The company’s team, led by producer and sound / set designer Peter Schmitz, with FOH tech Bennie Veenstra, stage tech Harrie Verhoeven and lighting tech Martin de Hoop, also installed a backbone truss and an array of auditorium and stage lighting, while Beamsystems supplied the video projection.
InAVate Awards founder and IML Group Publisher Dan Jago commented: “Ampco’s service was brilliant throughout and Peter Schmitz and the whole team made an outstanding contribution to the success of the event.”
