DPA Microphones at Prolight + Sound 2008, Frankfurt

Danish manufacturer DPA Microphones will be co-exhibiting with its German distributor, Mega-Audio, on Stand D50, Hall 8 of Prolight + Sound 2008, Frankfurt.
DPA is one of the leading microphone brands on the market today, and its capsule technology is widely accepted as one of the best-sounding available. Visitors will be able to hear the DPA sound quality for themselves on the stand, where saxophonists Benjamin Koppel and Jens Haack will be performing on a small stage, miked with DPA 4023 compact cardioid mics mounted on FGS4000 flamingo stands.
DPA is active in the field of audio research and education, and a listening post on the stand will present the company’s new SACD, Miking A Grand Piano, recorded in the DPA in-house studio. The SACD presents a number of stereo comparison and demonstration recordings of a grand piano using different combinations of DPA mics.
Besides experiencing the full range of DPA mics, visitors will be given the chance to win one by completing a form available on the stand. The lucky winner will receive a DPA 4021 compact cardioid microphone and CSM4000 compact shock mount, a prize worth 1,420 Euros.
