SHOW-WAY 2008 WORKSHOP: LIGHT AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

Changes in life styles, new sensitivity towards what our past represents (now considered not just purely "souvenirs", but also a heritage to be enhanced) and the need to rediscover our cultural roots and background, and revive them for future generations have transformed works of art and historical memorabilia into living speaking objects.
The question of preserving and enhancing this heritage is therefore becoming pressing, particularly as regards the problem of its lighting.
The use of unsuitable materials and technology in this sector may damage and mar elements of our historical heritage and more recent past. For this reason, we need professionals specialized in the lighting of cultural heritage.
