VectorWorks Step by Step Architect 2008 Training Manual
Nemetschek North America has announced the release of its newest version of Step by Step with VectorWorks Architect. This updated training manual is a ‘Fast Track to Productivity’, teaching a practical approach to project workflow. The manual demonstrates the new tools and technologies found in VectorWorks Architect 2008, including the completely redesigned user interface, design layer viewports, true file referencing, heads-up data display bar, and new building objects.
Step by Step with VectorWorks Architect guides the user through the entire home design process. Building on a blank file, the 16 fully illustrated exercises progress through program and project setup to creating construction documents. Recommending an optimum workflow along the way, the exercises include laying out and modifying floor plans, creating architectural elements, working with multiple levels, and creating construction drawings and schedules using most of VectorWorks Architect's architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) tools. The final chapter gives the user a taste of the software's Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.
"This new streamlined tutorial shows you the critical path to productivity and helps you set up your own efficient-yet flexible-design workflow that returns maximum documentation and presentation benefits," says author Steve Hader. "It's easy to navigate, providing everything the user needs at a glance."
The new Step by Step with VectorWorks Architect manual is in PDF format, so users can take advantage of the convenience of an electronic document. A complete learning experience, the PDF includes navigation links, built-in search features, and links to related VectorWorks help topics.
