Clay Paky Show-Way Success with New Alpha 300 Models

Show-Way, the first international trade fair dedicated to professionals in the entertainment technology industry, was held in Bergamo (Italy) from 24 to 26 February. There was a good attendance and It was received with considerable success among operators, offering itself for the future as the only Italian event dedicated exclusively to professionals in the sector.

The event was promoted by APIAS (Italian Association for Manufacturers and Importers of Technologies for Spectacle), which, as its fair site, chose Bergamo, a city in the heart of the Italian manufacturing area and easily reached from all over the world thanks to the numerous motorway and airport connections.

Clay Paky took part in Showway with a very large stand, containing a demo area and bar service, where it was possible to welcome operators in the sector and those responsible for worldwide sales networks in an optimal context – very silent and professional.

As a corollary to the fair event, Clay Paky organized an international convention, also open to the press, which was followed by the Gala Dinner at the prestigious ‘Il Pianone’ Restaurant in Bergamo Alta.

The Sunday night was characterized by the Clay Paky Party Night, at the XX Secolo Discotheque in Seriate where the supper and party were accompanied by the Gabriele Comeglio Jazz Group and Settesotto, as well as the exhibition of world micromagic champion Aurelio Paviato.

Clay Paky presented a complete range of projectors, from 300W to 1200W, specifically focusing attention on their latest, the Alpha 300 models. These fixtures, Clay Paky claim, exceed every competitor in the same power category in brightness, graphic variety, optical system and performance and represent the extreme synthesis between compactness and the great professional characteristics of the whole ALPHA Range.

As at LDI 2007, where they were welcomed with great interest, to the extent of inducing Clay Paky to reinforce its production departments to meet the numerous market requests, at Show-Way, too, the Alpha 300s were the leading actors on the stage.

Alpha Beam 300 is an innovative alternative to a Par 64 ACL in a compact and powerful moving light beam. It produces a super-concentrated near parallel light beam for a use very similar to that of a Par 64 ACL, always present in all the big Rock’n’Roll shows, but with superior and innovative features.

The new, special Clay Paky optical group, with a low power 300W lamp produces three times the brightness against that of an ordinary 1200W wash projector, generating a “tube of light” with a natural beam of 8°. The aperture and graphics of this “tube of light” can be decided at will by using the eight fixed gobos available, while a linear frost can be used to pass from a narrow hard beam to a soft one. CMY colour mixing and a colour wheel (8+1) allow the light beam to be collared at will. A dimmer on a dedicated channel, stop/strobe and high speed Pan/Tilt complete the Alpha Beam 300 configuration. Innovative and complete, compact, service friendly and easy to install and use, Alpha Beam 300 is the ideal Moving Light Beam for “live” professional use especially “long throw” to cut through the brightness of stage washes or LED backgrounds, with Aircraft Landing effects never seen before.

The Alpha 300 line also comprises two effects projectors and a washlight.

The Alpha Spot HPE 300 is compact, light, very silent, easy to install and extremely bright, with superior graphic and optical performances, it is the most complete “spot” in its category. Features include: 15°- 40° Zoom, CMY, 8+1 colour wheel, 15 Gobos (8 fixed and 7 rotating), Morphing Effect, Rotating Prism, Frost, 0-100% Dimmer on dedicated channel, and iris and stop/strobe.

Alpha Spot 300, with the same optical, lighting engineering and constructional qualities as the Alpha Spot HPE 300, is ideal for the most essential applications with contained investment levels. It is fitted with two 8+1 color wheels combinable together, 15 Gobos (8 fixed and 7 rotating), Morphing Effect, Rotating Prism, 0-100% Dimmer on dedicated channel and stop/strobe.

Alpha Wash 300 is a compact, light and very silent washlight that is easy to install and extremely bright. The CMY system and 8+1 colour wheel can provide any required tonality and an unrivalled colour quality. Two levels of frost on dedicated channels provide diffusion of the colour in a linear and uniform way, even from short distances, permitting its universal use in the most demanding professional sectors.
