Sunbaba Support Sport Relief
Sunbaba has worked with Limelight Sports to create over 2000m2 of signage and banners for all 23 cities across the UK involved in this year’s Sport Relief weekend.
This year’s Sport Relief saw celebrities and the public alike getting active to raise money for charity, with ‘Sport Relief Miles’ taking place in 23 cities across the country on 16th March.
Sunbaba, commissioned by Limelight Sports, produced a whopping 2000m2 of signage, gantry banners and PVC finish line tapes required for every site. The huge operation was carried out to a tight delivery schedule by Sunbaba, printing, cutting to size and finishing over 1100m2 of PVC banners and 700m2 of correx signage.
Over 1200 Correx boards were used across the sites to provide directions, safety information and highlight facilities around the course.
Sunbaba worked with the organisers to create English signage for all cities across the country, as well as Welsh cities Cardiff and Swansea requiring all signage to be produced in both English and Welsh. Sunbaba also co-ordinated the delivery of goods to each city, proofing and amending items where necessary referenced from over 100 pieces of artwork.
In addition to the Sports Relief Miles, Sunbaba created the gantry banners and branding required for the Sport Relief Super Cycle, which saw Alan Shearer and Adrian Chiles cycle from Newcastle to London in just two days.
Hannah Clark, production and logistics manager for Limelight Sports commented: “Across the whole design and creation of the branding, Sunbaba maintained regular contact to keep us updated with the progress. We were very happy with the results and the quality of their products.”
