grandMA Celebrated at the Festival da Verao

More than 170,000 people recently attended the tenth four-day edition of the Festival de Verao in Salvador, Bahia in North-East Brazil, featuring bands such as Ivete Sangalo, Babado Novo, Jammil, Eagle Cherry, Margareth Menezes, Beth Carvalho, Asa de Aguia, Timbalada and many more. For this huge show lighting designer Marcelo Marino used a grandMA system consisting of one grandMA full-size, one grandMA light, one grandMA ultra-light, three grandMA video media servers, two MA NSPs and grandMA 3D for pre-programming.
Marino reported: "Due to the flexibility, the power and the reliability of the equipment grandMA was our first choice. We pre-programmed the show and ran it with the total accuracy that is typical for the grandMA. The system is very strong and reliable. No other console on the market can be compared to it. And of course there is another big difference - the incredible support offered by MA Latin America."
Ivete Sangalo Band, with programmer and operator Junior Luzbel, who used his own grandMA full-size and grandMA video system, installed the console at FOH. The console was interacting with the existing set-up, sharing the network and also linked to the main grandMA to control audience lighting.
In addition to Marcelo Marino, Eric Berti and Paulo Lebrao worked as operators alongside programmers and operators of each band playing at the festival. Luzbel from Salvador delivered the lighting equipment.
