Success for Movecat at Prolight+Sound

Andrew Abele of Movecat is highly satisfied with the company’s appearance at this year’s Prolight+Sound trade fair: “Our performance at last year’s fair was very good, but this year we were able to achieve still better results.” Demand for the newly founded Movecat Academy was particularly gratifying.

The Movecat Academy is designed to offer manufacturer- and product-transcending support and know-how to all users and operators of motorized lifting gear in the show sector. To this end, a modular course structure has been developed that offers users with widely differing qualifications seminars suited to their various levels of expertise. The modular structure is also adapted to the time frames of participants, making it possible to extend a course of training and the pursuit of further professionalism over a period of several years.

Movecat’s hardware, however, also attracted a high level of interest, due in particular to the fact that it scores over that of competitors in terms of network functionality and system integration. Another important theme is the safety of kinetic systems in practice. Equipment from Movecat meets all the most commonly encountered standards and technical regulations, with specific products satisfying variously the BGV D8, BGV D8 Plus and BGV C1 an of couse EN 61508/ SIL3 codes of practice. Equipment compliant with the SIL3 code, for example, is approved for the carrying of loads over people.

Also new from Movecat is a guarantee extension. To ensure compliance with the legal regulations, Movecat’s general distributor, Think Abele, is offering a comprehensive service going beyond the obligatory accident prevention testing to include ancillary services. These include, in addition to various measurement and function tests, maintenance of the lifting gear, any repairs that may prove necessary and an extension of the guarantee up to 60 months. Further information on the accident prevention service is available from the web site www.movecat.de.
