CVT Leave Pro Light+Sound with a New Soundcraft Vi4

A successful visit to Frankfurt's Pro Light + Sound resulted in Cologne-based CVT Veranstaltungsservice placing an order for a Soundcraft Vi4 digital mixing console, with German distributors Audio Pro Heillbron.
Jörg Vonten's rental company covers a wide range of shows and events - from rock ‘n' roll to industrial - but he has always used Soundcraft mixing desks.

"I am very much a ‘one man' organisation - but I use first class freelance engineers," he says. They too encouraged Jörg to look down the Soundcraft route.
However, it wasn't a difficult decision for Jörg, who is a long-term Soundcraft customer, and runs MH3's and GB4's in his hire stock. "I had already experienced working on other digital desks but I needed something that sounded better - and would match the quality of the MH3. The last thing I wanted to do was take a backwards step."
And so he set up an appointment with Audio Pro Heillbron's Jörg ter Veer at Pro Light+Sound. "I could see it was a great console at a great price ... and decided to go for it on the spot."
After a few days familiarising himself with the system in his warehouse, Jörg Vonten was unequivocal. "It simply delivered a great sound - whether it was from an iPod line-in on the local rack, with the fader up, or a good mic input. And it has some excellent functions."
Following the design architecture of its bigger sibling (the Vi6), Soundcraft's Vi4 offers the same functionality and facilities but in a more compact chassis - making it ideal for the space-conscious venues in which CVT Veranstaltungsservice operate.
The Soundcraft Vi4 offers access to 48 inputs on 24 faders, with a total of 27 output busses available for use as masters, groups, auxes or matrices. All other features of the Soundcraft Vi6, such as the highly-acclaimed Vistonics II touch-screen user interface  and FaderGlow fader function display, have been inherited by the Soundcraft Vi4.
