KV2 Audio Announce UK Launch of KX Audio at PLASA 2008
KV2 Audio has announced the introduction of a new range of portable loudspeakers dedicated to the MI market, under the new brand name of KX Audio and featuring a new series of active powered enclosures.
The KX Series has been designed and built to the same exacting standards expected from KV2 Audio - the company recognised for producing some of the finest sounding PA products available today. Each loudspeaker in the new range incorporates the cutting edge of transducer design and supporting electronics, developed specifically for its application.
The internal design of the KX Audio range represents the strongest combination of output, power handling and control, as well as the lowest distortion levels available. Externally, Baltic plywood combined with tour grade coatings offer the most natural sounding product in a package able to withstand the rigours of touring.
Every loudspeaker used in a KX Audio system is specifically developed for its application and represents the cutting edge of transducer design. This leads to components that become the ultimate solution for their given application, not just an off the shelf driver made to function adequately as is so often the case.
Onboard electronics ensure fast, easy set up and complete control with phase alignment, equalization and speaker protection integrated into the amplifier module. In short KX Audio delivers the ultimate pro audio product for bands, DJs and touring musicians all over the world.
The KX Audio range currently consists of five loudspeaker cabinets. The KX12 is a compact 2-way, high-output, full-range active speaker system. Its small footprint belies its output and despite its 12" woofer it successfully takes on many larger 15" models. The KX15 is a 2-way, high-output, full-range active speaker system. The KX15 offers strong low frequency reproduction and a substantially increased overall output with its powerful 15" motor.
KX1.2 is the smallest subwoofer in the KX series and provides a substantial low frequency output that belies its size. Housing a single 12" Neodymium woofer it is a truly portable unit that can be used to extend the usable frequency range of any loudspeaker system. Its extended low frequency response and high SPL make it an excellent choice for many applications.
For larger applications the KX1.5 with a single 15" Neodymium woofer offers increased output comparable to many larger 18" units. The KX1.5 delivers low frequencies with authority, weight, extreme sustained output and high definition.
The KX Series will be shown on the KV2 Audio stand, (H47), and there will also be daily live demonstrations of the products featuring Czech singer/songwriter Jakub Racek in the Piccadilly Room. Full details will be available from the KV2 staff on the stand.
