Rosco at PLASA 2008 with New Colour and Lighting the Masters

This September sees the exciting introduction of a new colour to the Roscolux range of filters as well as 400 new gobo designs - steel designs, glass designs and new effects glass, which will be unveiled at Rosco's stand G47, during the PLASA Show. Attendees will also see the innovative Lighting the Masters - a web-based tool to provide inspiration for the lighting design process.
Roscolux #381 was created with the support of the famous lighting designer Mike Baldassari. Roscolux filters are manufactured in a deep-dying process. Deep-dyed filters are more resistant to fading on hot stage lights. Mike Baldassari's lighting designs are known the world over and he has long been a supporter of the Rosco range of colours. Rosco was therefore delighted when Mike approached us to create a bespoke colour on his behalf. As Mike says: Roscolux #381 "is a terrific 'dark steel' or 'triple daylight' without too much red or green"... a fabulous addition to the Rosco pallette.
Soon to be launched, Rosco's Lighting the Masters ‘Gallery 1' is a perfect example of art inspiring art. Based on an original idea by leading lighting cameraman Jeremy Hoare, Rosco has put together a collection of paintings and explored their composition in such a way as to provide inspiration for the lighting design process. By relating Rosco's rich colour filter palette to the predominate colours within a painting, Rosco has created a web based tool which can help designers realize their scenic visualizations, which will be presented at PLASA 2008.
