SmartFade ML is Star Prize at SIB in Rimini
Back in April, the 2008 SIB lighting and sound trade show in Italy saw over 21,000 people come and go - among them was one lucky visitor, Diego Stefani, who won an ETC SmartFade ML lighting control desk. Stefani, who was attending the show to look at lighting and audio products for his company Dea Service in Italy, was delighted to win the control desk as not only was it totally unexpected, but it also arrived on his birthday.
Dea Service, which is based in the province of Vicenza, rents entertainment technology equipment and solutions, mainly in the mid-eastern regions of Italy. The company supplies many live events including concerts, outdoor events and meetings, recently supplying the Italian leg of the Ferrari F430 Challenge.
A delighted Mr Stefani says: "I was at the ETC stand looking at Source Fours, which I'm an aficionado of and was given a demonstration on the SmartFade ML as I had never used one before. I was familiar with the bigger ETC consoles, but found the SmartFade ML to be very intuitive for such a small desk. I was really surprised to have won it and it will be a great addition to our stock."
SmartFade ML is the newest member of ETC's Smart Solutions family and offers professional moving light control in a compact, lightweight package. With a capacity for up to 24 moving lights and an additional 48 intensity channels, SmartFade ML provides a solid range of control for smaller lighting rigs and is a smart choice for small touring acts, schools, product launches, corporate events and countless other applications.
The desk, which was presented to Stefani by Fabio Anselmi, marketing manager at Decima Italia - ETC's Italian dealer, will be used on future live events and productions.
