grandMA2, grandma ultra-light and LED-Panel C60 from MA Lighting

MA Lighting will present three major introductions at the PLASA Show.
With the introduction of grandMA2 series, MA Lighting both supplements and develops its successful grandMA system even further. grandMA2 comes with completely new designed hardware supporting the grandMA software as well as all current and proposed lighting control standards.
Listening closely to the market MA Lighting kept the intuitive grandMA control philosophy and the same command line and syntax. However, MA has cleaned up, improved and extended the software and optimized colours and views. The advanced networking architecture is even more powerful and allows compatibility with the "old" grandMAs. Independent from user interfaces, for theatre-style programming or a concert touring multi-user programming session, grandMA2 suits all areas and also includes fader wings that give up to 90 faders per console. New ways of architectural interconnection are also possible.
MA Lighting has released its new free software version 5.91 that upgrades any grandMA ultra-light to 2,048 parameters. However, the price for the grandMA ultra-light "series 1" will remain the same. With this upgrade the grandMA ultra-light becomes an even more powerful tool for small and medium sized shows. In combination with the MA 2Port Node the grandMA ultra-light offers the user some additional unique features: any MA 2Port Node model extends the two built-in DMX connectors of the grandMA ultra-light to four outputs; when using the MA 2Port Node onPC PRO in combination with grandMA onPC there is a backup for the grandMA ultra-light that directly outputs two lines of DMX; use the grandMA ultra-light and MA 2Port Node onPC or MA 2Port Node onPC PRO with grandMA onPC independently to run two separate shows at the same time.
grandMA ultra-light offers one colour touch screen display, one external display, ten manual faders plus 20 physical playback buttons (on 128 pages), free visualization software, and support for up to six remotes and all the software features of the larger grandMA and grandMA light consoles including DMX universe expansion with up to 16,384 parameters (32,768 DMX channels or 64 DMX universes).
The LED-Paneel C60 is the latest addition of Schnick-Schnack-Systems' range of LED Media Systems which is distributed worldwide by MA Lighting. The module features the latest RGB LEDs from leading manufacturer Nichia, combined with Schnick-Schnack-Systems' unique, in-house modulation technology. With a pixel pitch of 50mm, it is completely design compatible with the LED-Paneel C100 and LED-Band and offers the same features in a more compact and lightweight housing, increasing the flexibility available to designers in the creation of LED features in set, stage and lighting designs.
Used as a backlight, the LED-Paneel C60 requires a distance of just 8cms / 3.25" from the diffusion material being lit to produce a homogenously illuminated area. Alternatively, it can be used without diffusion, to create an eye-catching LED matrix - the wide LED beam angle of 120° allowing camera shots to be taken from oblique angles with no loss of intensity. The LED-Paneel C60 requires an external power supply to operate. Each LED can be individually controlled, using the System Power Supply 4E, to display colourful looks from any DMX lighting console - or video content using a media server. The use of DMX or Art-Net data to control the System Power Supply 4E means that longer cable runs can be used than with VGA, DVI or SDI, allowing video servers to be placed further away from noise-sensitive stage and studio areas.
The LED-Paneel C60 offers virtually unlimited installation possibilities, with easy rigging options using either rear-mounted clamps or bolts fixed from the front of the unit. Their rugged, aluminium construction makes them an ideal tool for use in stage and touring environments.
