A.C. Entertainment Technologies Supplies Aberdeen Performing Arts
A.C. Audio, a division of A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd. has recently supplied Aberdeen Performing Arts with a completely stand alone, 12-way Audio-Technica 5000 Series wireless radio microphone system.
Aberdeen Performing Arts have been investing in new equipment for their first-ever touring production. Sunset Song is a seven-week tour directed by Kenny Ireland, best known for his part with Victoria Wood's 'rep' company in the BBC series Victoria Wood As Seen On TV. As a longstanding customer they approached A.C. Audio with a requirement for a new, completely transportable and robust radio microphone solution that would be put to use at all venues they tour throughout Scotland in the coming months.
A.C. Audio sales manager Peter Butler commented on the system selection: "It was very important to provide the best wireless system possible. After some discussion with Alan Campbell, head of operations at A.P.A., we decided on the Audio-Technica Artist Elite 5000 Series. Having recently tested the lapel system myself I knew it would be ideal. Designed for use in demanding environments, this series is proven to meet the highest standards in audio quality and unsurpassed excellence in build."
Peter Butler continued: "Knowing the system would spend the majority of its time on the road, it was of great importance that it was completely self contained and thoroughly protected, therefore a custom flight case and patching facilities were built which minimised the hassle factor of the set up at each venue."
Audio-Technica's 5000 Series true diversity UHF wireless system is their flagship of radio microphone products. With two independent true diversity receivers in a single full-rack housing, the 5000 Series conserves rack space while providing outstandingly reliable and flexible performance. Two hundred selectable channels are offered in each of two available UHF bands. Receivers may be linked to form a complete system in which the built-in IntelliScan capability automatically determines and sets the best available frequencies on all linked receivers. Equipped with Ethernet ports, the 5000 Series receiver allows computer management and control.
Alan Campbell of Aberdeen Performing Arts remarked on the supply: "We have been buying from "A.C." for a while now and have always found them to be competitive in price and unparalleled in sales support and after care. Having previously bought a small Audio-Technica system from them, we were very confident in Peter's recommendation and are extremely happy with the results."
Sunset Song opened at His Majesties Theatre, Aberdeen on the 5th September.
