ETC and ARRI Announce Broadcast-Lighting Partnership
ETC Inc. has announced the appointment of ARRI Lighting Solutions GmbH (ARRI LS) as its preferred distributor for broadcast applications in several major markets.
The new partnership will allow ARRI LS to provide complete broadcast lighting solutions now comprising ETC control systems and products, ARRI lighting and suspension products with turn-key design and installation services.
The partnership covers important broadcast markets in central and Eastern Europe (including GUS) as well as the Middle East and Africa.
"ETC and ARRI have developed some of the best lighting technologies for the broadcast industry," says ETC CEO Fred Foster. "This partnership with ARRI Lighting Solutions will capitalise on the strengths of both companies to provide complete lighting systems made with ETC and ARRI products."
The partnership - which does not affect the theatrical market - will build on the strong historic relationships between broadcast customers, ETC and ARRI. "ETC has provided the best products and services to broadcast customers for more than 30 years," says Klaus Althoff, Sales Director of ETC GmbH. "There will be a smooth transition to this new partnership."
ETC will, in cooperation with ARRI Lighting Solutions, maintain close contact with broadcast customers and continue to develop the best products to meet the needs of the lighting industry. ARRI LS will provide overall project design, the product delivery and installation services for broadcast installations. ETC and ARRI LS will support and service the ETC products provided through this partnership.
This is not the first significant partnership between the two companies. London-based ARRI(GB) was the distributor of ETC-manufactured lighting control desks in a successful arrangement that lasted ten years. The companies have also successfully worked together in other areas, such as supply of large German TV stations.
