J&C Joel Award-Winning Serge Tape Now in Stock
Launched to great acclaim at ABTT, where it won the company its third Hook Clamp award, J&C Joel's JCJ Serge Tape won further praise at PLASA 2008. Ideal for theatres, touring shows, rental companies, film and TV studios and schools - anywhere that uses black wool serge drapes - this tape can be used to mend tears in black wool serge almost invisibly and without the glare caused by gaffer tape.
J&C Joel's marketing manager Fiona Blackett says: "Traditionally people have used gaffer tape to mend small tears, but as soon as the lights come on, every little bit of gaffer tape shines like the sun! JCJ Serge Tape is quick, cheap and invisible - indeed, many of the visitors to our stand have been wondering why no-one thought of it before and are coming up with uses we'd not considered." JCJ Serge Tape is 50mm wide and, 25 metres long.
J&C Joel also introduced a new fine gauze designed specially for the film industry. Called Double Fine Gauze, it achieves an f-stop of f1.1 when used as a film production cloth and avoids the moiré effect created when two layers of standard fine gauze are used.
