PixelRange to Present Innovative PixelArt Development at PLASA

PLASA sees the launch of a major new software upgrade for PixelArt that will make the system one of the most versatile display products on the market.

Version 1.4 software supports controlling the video batten fixtures directly via DMX by feeding an ArtNet compliant signal in to the VideoMapper.

A set-up wizard built in the user interface of the VideoMapper allows the user to patch and assign DMX channels to the cells of the connected fixtures without having to use a separate configuration tool on an attached PC. This enables a PixelArt system to be used completely standalone without need for other set-up utilities or a media server to generate content.

Built into this new software of the VideoMapper are multiple industry standard 1044 style effects engines that can be overlaid across connected fixtures. This allows the video battens to emulate the iconic 1044 product when more basic effects are desired.

Also present in this latest software is the option to map the fixtures through the user interface of the VideoMapper when controlling PixelArt from a video source. For simple set-ups, this again eliminates the requirement of running remote configuration software.

This release gives the user ultimate flexibility and expandability for PixelArt. From several fixtures being controlled directly from a basic lighting desk to hundreds of fixtures being driven by state of the art media servers, PixelArt is a universal product.

PLASA will also see the launch of the next product in the PixelArt family. To complement the full length batten a half-length unit, 36 by 6 pixels is now available with all the features of the larger fixture.
