Timax Next Generation at AES
At 125th AES Convention in San Francisco TiMax (Booth 1138) will feature the next generation evolution of their groundbreaking audio matrix systems, TiMax2 SoundHub and TiMax Tracker - an innovative range of audio showcontrol and systems integrator products.
In its SoundHub-S audio showcontrol guise, the TiMax2 control software is configured specifically for programming and running live shows and events with cue-driven level, delay, EQ, matrixing, mixing and audio playback.
The SoundHub-R systems integrator version is optimized for more mainstream AV installations needing similar comprehensive audio processing, networking and remote control resources but with less focus on real-time showcontrol or audio animation.
Also demonstrated at AES will be the revolutionary new TiMax Tracker showcontrol automation product, which uses UWB radar tracking technology to make performers' audio other effects automatically follow their position onstage in 3D space.
TiMax Tracker has recently enhanced the sound reinforcement of several prestige European opera and theatre productions during 2008. The system has also been specified for two major musical spectacular productions in Las Vegas and Broadway opening in early 2009.
TiMax will present a Source-Oriented Reinforcement workshop on Friday Oct 3rd at 2:30 PM (AES Session L6), chaired by Fred Ampel and featuring contributions from distinguished panellists including Kurt Graffy (Arup), George Johnsen (Threshold Digital), Vikram Kirby (Thinkwell Designs) and Duncan Crundwell (1602Group), accompanied by TiMax developers Robin Whittaker and Dave Haydon (Out Board UK).
