Award-winning Supernova Flex Screen Vanishes into the Ceiling

dnp, the world's leading supplier of optical screen technology, have announced the release of a new Ceiling Cassette for discreet installation of the retractable dnp Supernova Flex Screen. This will be available in the UK through distributors, Paradigm AV.
"Eight out of ten installations with retractable front projection screens are currently ceiling-mounted, so we anticipate a dramatic increase in sales as a result of the introduction of the Ceiling Cassette for the Supernova Flex. This new installation option will undoubtedly drive new business for installers who work with the Supernova Flex Screens," says General Manager of dnp denmark, Niels Hermansen.
The ceiling-mounted system targets users who prefer their Supernova Screen to ‘vanish' when not in use - for example, in conference rooms and home entertainment applications in private homes. At the push of a button, the Supernova Flex Screen rolls down through a slot in the 2mm thin cover. When the viewing is over, a second push of the button causes the screen to slide up neatly inside its cover again
The Ceiling Cassette and the Supernova Flex Screen can be installed in two separate steps. This prevents the screen from being damaged during construction work, and makes mounting safe and convenient for the AV-installer: 1. Mounting of the Ceiling Cassette; 2. Once the Ceiling Cassette has been mounted and the construction site has been cleaned up, the Supernova Flex can be fitted into the housing in a matter of minutes.
The Supernova Flex Screen comes standard with an infrared remote control, connection for wall switch, 5-12 V (low-voltage) trigger and RS-232 communication with easy access from outside the cassette.
The Ceiling Cassette is made from aluminium and comes with a white cover plate (RAL 9010) or a raw unpainted plate as standard. The cover plate is available in any RAL colour on request.
The Cassette is available for the following dnp Supernova Flex screen sizes: 72", 84" and 100" in 4:3 format and 72", 84", 92" and 100" in 16:9 format.
