Butteflies on tour with Will Young

December 13. 2008 saw the final date, at London's Roundhouse, of Will Young's latest tour, the artist's second amplified by Butterfly Outline arrays, supplied as always by London rental company Britannia Row Productions.

After becoming famous for winning the first (2002) edition of Pop Idol - the British TV talent show that had the aim of discovering new talent in the pop music field - Will Young became even more popular thanks to his smash hit ‘Light My Fire', within a cover version that was a worldwide success.

Young recently released a new single (Changes), which flashed to the top of the UK charts and set the scene for the album ‘Let It Go' which hit the streets in September last.

Sound reinforcement on the tour of UK venues featured an audio system comprising 32 Outline Butterfly CDH 483 Hi-Pack modules and eight Subtech 218s, powered by Outline T9 amplifiers (2 x 4800 W, just one rack unit and weighing in at only 12 kg).

The audio technicians on the tour were system engineer Davide Lombardi and Gary Bradshaw, one of the world's most esteemed FOH engineers.

Outline has announced that during 2009 its loudspeaker systems - in particular Butterfly and mini-COM.P.A.S.S. - have been chosen for mamy international tours and installations.
