Showsec Event Team Wins Security Excellence Award
Showsec was recognised for achieving excellence in four award categories during this October's Security Excellence Awards. Most notably, for the fourth consecutive year, the company won the highly acclaimed Event Security Team Of The Year award, collected by London Area Manager Paul Legge from presenter Ronnie Corbett.
The company was nominated in three other categories and applauded by Brian Sims, editor of Security Manager Today magazine. Brian hosted the prestigious awards ceremony at London's Park Lane Hilton which was attended by over 750 security professionals, all leaders in their own sectors. Brian praised the high quality of the awards, saying: "The award finalists should feel very proud to receive the commendation of the judging panel in a year when standards have been very high."
In selecting Showsec as winners of the Event Security Team Of The Year Award the judges commented that they had proven to be "the best, most consistent, and most innovative providers of event stewarding and security professionals".
Showsec operations director Mark Logan said: "Being recognised by the wider security industry as the leader and innovator in the events sector is a great boost to the company. More so this category honours the management and staff who facilitate our arena operations up and down the country, they work tirelessly in order to produce a high quality standardized service with their respective venue partners.
"The work of the arena staff sometimes goes unnoticed against the high profile festivals and in getting this award it demonstrates we as a company continue to aspire to offer a high quality service to all our customers."
The additional categories Showsec was highly commended for were International Achievement Award (for B'estfest in Romania), Training Initiative Of The Year (for the Showsec Academy) and Contract Security Manager Of The Year (for operations director Simon Battersby.)
