The Future of Entertainment Networked Control

The ESTA-sponsored Connectivity Pavilion will be on display at LDI 2009 in Orlando, FL in Booth #1349, with an expanded array this year of equipment running the latest in entertainment control protocols. The Pavilion offers a hands-on demonstration of devices interfacing under RDM (ANSI E1.20), ACN (ANSI E1.17), and Lightweight Streaming of DMX512 over ACN (ANSI E1.31). Members of the Controls Protocols Working Group and the task groups for these standards will be in the Connectivity Pavilion to demonstrate and discuss these ANSI protocols, which can be specified for new lighting systems or for upgrades of old ones. Anyone with an interest in lighting control is invited to stop by and see the reality of these protocols and how transparently they allow the operation of equipment from a variety of manufacturers.

In addition, ESTA is sponsoring two LDI sessions on these control protocols:

E1.31, An Industry Standard For DMX512 Over Ethernet
Friday, November 20, 11am-12:30pm

Working Together with ACN and RDM Protocols
Saturday, November 21, 2-3:30pm

The Connectivity Pavilion will be open during the LDI show floor hours, which are Friday, November 20 from 10:00am to 6:00pm; Saturday, November 21 from 10:00am to 6:00pm; and Sunday, November 22 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
