Saville Audio Visual took on the challenge of lighting the interior of Europe's biggest Cathedral for a spectacular event. Three hundred guests attended the dinner in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, celebrating ten years of the city's Kensington Regeneration New Deal for Communities programme.

Citycolor lighting units were used to illuminate the towering architecture for the presentations, hosted by BBC TV presenter Gordon Burns. Other lighting included 14 Croma-Q LED lights, MAC 250 Entours and Robe 1200s, with custom gobo effects and the obligatory followspot. Barco HD-8 projectors provided rear projection in widescreen format with images supplied via a Grass Valley Indigo mixer including live video feeds from Hitachi 16.9 cameras.

The d&b sound system was flown and controlled by a DBX control rack with an Allen & Heath GL14 mixing desk plus stage mics and monitors for The String Divas trio. Sennheiser radio transmitters enabled the girls to ‘get down' amongst the audience. The video production by the in-house Saville creative team featured a program of custom designed slides to build a six-minute animated time line illustrating the Ten Years of Kensington Regeneration.

Kensington communications manager, Kris Waite said: "The Saville team provided constant support throughout the planning stages and were a reassuring presence - they helped to make it a fantastic experience."
