Surtees Reading and PSCo team up to Support Danyl's Homecoming
Sound, light & video specialists Surtees Reading and AV rental company PSCo joined forces to help welcome back local X Factor star Danyl Johnson, with a VIP event held at the Penta Hotel, Reading.
Surtees Reading was approached to put together the production elements of the event including a small stage, lighting rig sourced from Gas Light & Power, PA and a pair of the world's largest plasmas sourced from PSCo.
Managing director, Paul DeBanks explained: "The Penta hotel has been a big supporter of Danyl all the way through the competition and approached us to put together a welcome home concert which was held in its event space. We brought in partners to help up put it together on a shoestring, lending us production equipment and their time for the event."
The set included two of the world's largest plasma screens, sourced from AV rental specialists PSCo. These whopping 103" screens flanked Danyl on each side of the stage and showed footage filmed at the event on two Sony HD video cameras.
Paul operated the video cameras and Sony Anycast vision mixer, while Bob Kiddle from Gaslight Productions operated the lighting desk, controlling 18 LED Par cans and 10 moving lights during Danyl's performance.
Danyl played a set of his most popular X Factor songs to an assembled audience of VIP guests.
