Jan Booth Joins NOEA Council
Jan Booth (pictured), managing director of Sunbaba has been welcomed as a new council member of the National Outdoor Events Association. NOEA is the leading trade body for organisers and suppliers in the UK outdoor event industry and Jan joins them with two decades of experience in event signage and branding.
NOEA brings together local authorities, organisers, promoters, venues and suppliers to share problems, enhance professionalism and create business opportunities. They host a wide range of events including regional workshops and conferences, annual conventions and tribute celebration evenings.
John Barton, NOEA general secretary said: "For many years Jan has supported the association and attended conventions and regional conferences. She is well known throughout the industry for her passion, commitment and good ideas and we are excited about her joining us to become involved in the future development of the association."
Jan's wealth of experience stems from working across the spectrum of events, with Sunbaba proving signage and branding to festivals, concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, corporate events and working with the construction sector. Jan has worked with events both large and small ranging from local fêtes through to complete branding solutions for events such as the Lovebox, Sports Relief 2008 and the Innocent Festival.
Jan said: "I am delighted to have been elected as a council member. Having been in business for 21 years I feel that I can represent small /medium business in the outdoor event industry. We know that the next few years are going to be a challenge and I feel the event industry is going to have to be innovative to cope and over come them. I hope to become a sounding board for NOEA to enable members to have a positive result from the challenges ahead. As a company, Sunbaba has been working closely with its suppliers for a number of years on new developments which will be implemented over the next two years. These include working on sustainable and recyclable products which I hope NOEA members will benefit from."
