Bandit is Laughing with Al Murray
The Pub Landlord himself, Al Murray is at the top of his game these days and has a hit TV show and a sold out tour to prove it! ITV1 just began his wildly popular show Al Murray's Multiple Personality Disorder, and he is in the midst of a year long sold out stand up comedy tour. Things could not be any better for one of the world's top comedians. Born in Buckinghamshire in 1968, Al has been a comic since day one.
Tour manger Adam Booker and lighting director Paul Timmins called upon Bandit Lites in the UK to service their needs for the 2009 live tour campaign. Mick Freer from Bandit handles the daily needs of this very special client and it has been "a barrel of laughs" so far! While the needs of a comic are far simpler equipment wise than that of a rock band, the effect is just as important. After all, most comics are not so funny if you cannot see them. Visuals are very important to Al and hence the lighting equipment must be first quality and operate correctly at all times. To that end Bandit has a collection of PAR fixtures, manfrotto stands, MR16 ministrips, dimmers, cable and an Avo Pearl on the job to assure Al always looks his best.
Al is an award winning professional and he appeared in the first year of the TV smash hit show Hell's Kitchen. The list of Murray's accomplishments to date is staggering and 2009 promises to add to his trophy case. Look for Al Murray on tour this year and notice how well he is illuminated by Paul Timmins and his gear from Bandit.
