CSS at Lucky 13th Cheltenham Folk Festival

The annual Cheltenham Folk Festival took place from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 February at Cheltenham Town Hall and other venues throughout the town centre. It was the 13th year of the festival, which to many may seem unlucky, but to push the point, the number 13 theme ran for the first night of the festival and was incorporated into the event as much as possible.
Cheltenham Stage Services (CSS) provided all the technical services including lighting, sound and rigging for all venues over the Festival weekend. These included Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham Ladies College and Cheltenham Boys College. There were many performing artists throughout the town from including Morris Dancers, Ceilidhs and plenty of bands.
Jo Heatley, Cheltenham Folk Festival manager said: "This year's festival was a great success. A big challenge to us was the last minute opening of the new Pillar Room Bar/Café but CSS assisted greatly in creating a chilled atmosphere with some simple lighting effects. They also worked with me to create a new main stage setting, revealing the beauty of the Town Hall's regency architecture and organ. We received many compliments on both the lighting and the sound at the festival, which as a festival organiser is music to my ears!"
CSS work nationally from their base in Cheltenham.
